1953 Corvette Restoration Project
This 1953 was found in Florida. It had been stored since the early 70's. The car was purchased by it's last owner in 1965 and used on a regular basis while living in Denver. He put the car in storage in the early 70s after several items had been stolen from it. It was transported with him when he moved to Tennessee then to the West cost of Florida. The car has retained all it's original components except the shocks, hubcaps and ignition shielding.
The car was purchased in Feb 2009. The restoration was started in March of this year.
As you can see from the photos the body has been separated from the chassis and the disassembly started. All trim work will be removed from the body before paint stripping and body work. The engine and transmission will be rebuilt and the chassis and suspension restored.
