An extremely authentic recreation of the original GT40 that won at Le Mans four years in a row, the Superformance GT40 has got all the experts signing off on its integrity. The company has even received a registry and licensed mark of identification that shows this series to be a true continuation of the legendary 1966 racer.

As many people know, the Ford GT40 was a high performance sports car and winner of the 24 hours of Le Mans four times in a row.  This went on from 1966 to 1969 after Henry Ford II had wanted a Ford at Le Mans. The original GT40 and MK1, was prepared at the specially established, Ford Advanced Vehicles in the UK and it was built to win long-distance sports car races against Ferrari who originally had won at Le Mans six times in a row from 1960 to 1965. Early cars were simply named "Ford GT" and subsequently included the MkI, MkIIs, MkIIIs, and MkVs. After so many decades, the GT 40 has now won more prestigious race events than any other model road-race car in history. A quality re-creation of the original that beat Ferrari and finished in the top three positions in the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966 is now available in the Superformance GT40 (www.gt40superformance.com).

Even John Hancock would be proud to sign off on this car! It is built to exacting standards with over two thirds of the rolling chassis's parts interchangeable with that of an original car. In fact, it’s so authentic that they can legally use the name “GT40”.  It carries the GT40/P chassis number and is eligible for the official GT40 registry. Current models offered on this spectacular car are the MKI and MKII which are available in “A” and “B” body styles and right and left hand drive. Add your choice of power (big or small block ) with a ZF/RBT transaxle, and prepare yourself for extreme satisfaction and the ultimate in styling. The GT40 Superformance is licensed and endorsed by Safir GT40 Spares LLC. Each is hand crafted and carries the GT40 -P chassis number as well as being registry eligible. These are not kits but a continuation of the original series. That’s right collectors! An American racing icon is now reborn and this is your chance to own the collectible legend of Le Mans.
