Ever wonder if a car could fly?  Apparently, the designers at Kirkham Motorsports have been wondering the same thing.  They’ve recently taken their designs even one step further in an attempt to make a virtual flyer out of what others thought was nothing but a race car. In fact, those boys at Kirkham have been breeding race cars and jet fighters together for years and it won’t be long before one of these cars actually takes to the sky.  Don’t turn your eyes to the ceiling too quick when you get ready to see the 427 Lemans on the runway.

Based on the very popular 427 KMS/SC, the modern design by Kirkham Motorsports now adds some beautiful new craftsmanship to this sleek aluminum body and it looks even more like a jet fighter than before.  This new design has got some curvaceous fenders and a brand new LeMans style hard top which cuts down on the wind drag. The top can even be removed and you’ve got yourself a heart stopping convertible with a roll bar to boot.  Don’t forget the fiery fender flares to show off on those sunny weekend cruises and maybe even as you perch the runway and blister the skies.

Kirkham Motorsports has really outdone themselves this time after originally coming up with the replica of the Cobra that borrowed designs from a Polish fighter jet.  It shouldn’t be surprising that these guys know how to make a car that can virtually fly and the LeMans may just be that car. Since their earliest days, Kirkham Motorsports has now become one of the leaders in the kit car industry. At the inception of the company, KM focused on building the most accurate replicas in the business. They are now a top engineering specialist company that pushes the envelope on performance while also coming up with unique ideas that literally shock the experts.

Starting at $54,995, The 427 KMS Lemans offers and aluminum body w/ Lemans style aluminum hard top and split trunk. The interior proudly displays a Moto-Lita 15" wood laminate steering wheel and some sweet leather seats that are going to beg the ladies to join you for flight. The total machine weighs in at about 2400 pounds with original style suspension, top loader, differential, brakes and a 427 FE with iron block and heads.  Other options include a stainless steel frame and Girling style brakes and the company offer custom factory assembly. You are going to break the sound barrier when this little racecar takes off from the runway and disappears over the horizon.
