The folks at Zillis Media have brought two original 427 full competition Shelby Cobras to life by presenting them on video and this is something we can all be grateful for. Anthony Boosalis is the Los Angeles based owner of these two great cars and, since they say a picture tells a thousand words, just think how much a full length video is going to tell you!
For those of you who want to get a good look at two of the original Shelby Cobra 427s, you can now watch them on video as they are rolled out onto the street and actually taken for a spin all around town. I’ll give you the details on the video in just one minute but first let me warm up the engine a bit and give you a few pointers.
As many people know, it is easy enough to find replicas but seeing two actual original competitors circa 1965 is certainly a sight to behold. The video I speak of shows some typical kids gathering around on the street to get a look at this amazing and rare sight. What kid wouldn’t stop his street games to gather around these two legendary cars? Those same kids will grow up to be adults just like us, wishing we could own one of these cars ourselves.
The lucky owner, Anthony Boosalis, shows his amazing vehicles off and gives extremely accurate information about the original Shelby Cobras. He discusses the originals from 1962 and 1965. He notes the difference between street cars and full competition cars. Anthony can also be heard noting at one point, ''simply the shape of the car is a very sexy shape.'' He also notes the “exotic” classification rather than the mere “classic” car status. There is much truth about that comment because there is nothing that really comes close to the AC Cobra.
