The 1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe Reproduction Top Chop
By Paul Ambrose
It really got it’s start in the 1950’s when “cool” was becoming a
household word but she has been around since the 1930’s. Way
back then, car manufacturers started a process wherein some of the
steel between the bottom and the top of the window was removed from
the car to lower the roof height. It made the street rods look
better because the original roof line was just too high above the
rest of the car's body.
