The Irish Kit Car Club was founded in June 2002, the Club aims to encourage like minded individuals who wish to build, buy or drive kit cars of any description in the Republic of Ireland.
Up until the time the Club was formed it was next to impossible to own and drive a kit car in the Republic due to issues with insurance, VRT, VAT, and registration. As a club we are continually finding ways around these issues and are encouraged by the number of cars currently being built as well as the numbers of members road legal vehicles.
The club members are spread throughout the Country, to cater for this we hold regular meetings in various locations, attend various events, have regular news letters and organizing club runs. We also use every opportunity to promote kit cars to the general public.
