7 Steps to Quickly Organize Your Car Cruise

A friend of mine said it best when he said "trying to organize a bunch of people for a car cruise is like trying to heard cats".

If you have ever tried to organize a car cruise you already known it is a challenge. Who is coming and who is not? Where are we going to meet? What if it rains?

These are only a few of the logistical challenges that are easily overcome when you use the "Events" Calendar to organize and manage your car cruise.

It's not only perfect for promoting a local car cruise -- but it also let's you invite and communicate with attendees and potential attendees. It allows you to:
  • Add or edit the event information
  • Edit the location for meet-up (using a Yahoo map)
  • Upload a profile photo
  • Invite friends to attend
  • Message attendees at anytime

And you can even set-up a photo gallery for your event.

Step #1 - Click on "Events"

You will find that at this point the system will automatically send them an email for you with an invitation to attend your event.

The email includes a link to your Events page where they will find all of the details. They have the option to accept the invitation, decline or indicate that they might attend.

You will also find that as the event organizer that you full administrative rights over this profile. You also have the ability to message your members at any time.

Step #7 - Click to "Message All Attendees"

That's it!

It is all very simple freeing you to enjoy your cruise.

Good cruising,

PS - Be sure to take some photos or maybe even some video so you can share your cruise with members. I know they'll appreciate it!

Hey James,

Thanks for this. I wish I would have found it earlier. Our "cruises" are done for the now, but in the Spring when things thaw out and we get the cars back on the road, I'll be sure to use this to organize my cruises. It'll make things much easier.
