• Noble M400-

  On Monday, August 4th, I attended the 23rd Annual Vancouver Shelby Club Show 'n Shine at Hallmark Ford in Surrey, BC Canada.

  As usual there was a great showing of Shelby GT350 and GT500 Mustangs and various Ford Motor Company muscle cars. What I wasn't expecting to see was a Noble M400.

  The M400 is best noted for its amazing handling and power.

  The Noble M400 features a mid-mounted transverse engine design. The UK auto TV show Vroom Vroom said that the M400 gave Ferrari Enzo performance at a Porsche 911 price.

• Cobra Louvers-

  There was a lot of time and car was spent on the construction of this Factory Five MK3 Roadster. Here's a shot of the louvers.

• 5.0 Liter in Shelby Cobra-

  This Factory Five Roadster is outfitted with a 5.0 liter small block with a Trick Flow intake. It's very clean.

• Cobra Tonneau Cover-

  It's always nice to have a tonneau cover to enclose the cockpit. As you can see this one is neatly trimmed and nicely fitted around the roll bar.

• MK3 Roadster-

  A beautifully finished red MK3 Roadster from Factory Five Racing.

• Simpson Racing Harness-

  This 4-point Simpson Racing Harness keeps the driver firmly in place.

• 302 Crate Engine-

  Western Motorsport 5.0 short block crate engine with "vintage look" EFI with ceramic coated intake, aluminum fuel rails, Mallory high pressure fuel regulator, SDS injection system, MSD coil and ignition system, polished AccuFab 4-barrel throttle body, TFS twisted wedge heads, push rods and Track Heat cam shaft, Crane roller rockers, Ford racing "Cobra" air filter and valve covers, nitrous system including ZEX TPS switch, HPM solid motor mounts, oil cooler and dual fans.

• Shelby Cobra Interior- A traditional look to the interior of this Shelby Cobra replica. If you look carefully you can see the "Remove Before Flight" tag adorning the nitrous switch.

  This car is painted in 2004 Mini Cooper S blue pearlessence. It looks great even in bright sunlight.

• Vancouver Shelby Club-

  The Vancouver Shelby Club's Show 'n Shine held annually at Hallmark Ford in Surrey, BC, Canada always has an impressive showing of Cobra replicas and a large number of original Shelby GT350 and GT500 Mustangs.

• Noble M400-

  Even though it was an extremely bright sunny day (and blistering hot), I managed to get some fairly nice shots on this Noble M400.

• Noble M400 Cockpit-

  The fit and finsh of the hand stitched interior was top notch

• Detail-

  Everywhere you look the Noble M400 is a real treat to look at.

• European-

  I love the latest trend of the supercars to encase the headlights and turn signals within the shape of the car.

• Rear Scoop-

  This large rear scoop lets in plenty of air to keep the Noble M400 power plant cool. It looks great too!

• Performance-

  I would say by the look of the low profile, high performance tires and the massive brakes behind the scenes that the handling and stopping ability of the Noble M400 would be pretty impressive.

• Noble M400 Sighting in BC Canada-

  The Noble M400 is a sports car from the British car maker Noble. Manufacturing was outsourced to Hi Tech Automotive, based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

• Shelby Show '2008-

  The 23rd Annual Vancouver Shelby Show was a huge success with a record 155 car cars in attendence.

• Noble M400-

  A nice profile shot of the Noble M400. It took a while to get some clear shots because the car was almost constantly surrounded by curious car lovers.

• Noble M400 - Rear Clip-

  The Noble M400 is a stunner from every angle. It was quite something to see the attention to detail up close. It's quite a car.

  I spotted this Noble M400 on display at the 2008 Vancouver Shelby Show. I was quite surprised and delighted.

  I love this shot. It was fun to watch the attention these Shelby Cobra GT350 & GT500 Mustangs received.

  A pristine Ford Shelby GT350H, the "H" stands for Hertz because believe it or not in the 60's you could actually rent one of these from Hertz. If you look closely you can see one of the original paper Hertz floor mats.

• Shelby GT350 (Burgundy)-

  Yet another outstanding example of a beautiful burgundy Shelby GT350 Mustang on display at Hallmark Ford in Surrey BC Canada.

• Shelby GT500-

  Although I love the cars, I am not an expert on them by any means, however I believe this is a 1969 Shelby GT500 Mustang.

• Factory Five (x4)-

  A row of four recently completed Factory Five Racing "Shelby Cobra" kit cars. They really looked great together and drew large crowds all day.

• Show n Shine-

  It was a perfect day for a show 'n shine. This shot was taken around 10:30 am when it wasn't quite so hot. By noon it was blistering, but the crowds didn't seem to mind. They really enjoyed the cars.

  The Noble M400 features a mid-mounted transverse engine design. The power plant is originally a 2968 cc DOHC Ford Duratec V6 with four valves per cylinder, used in the Ford Mondeo ST220. With this engine as a base, Noble fits high-lift camshafts, revised fuel injection, and two turbochargers. For durability, Noble has also added forged pistons, an oil cooler, a larger baffled oil sump, and extra cooling ducts. This engine has a max power of 425 bhp (317 kW) at 6500 rpm, with a torque figure of 390 ft·lbf (530 N·m) at 5000 rpm. This power and a light weight allow the M400 to achieve a power to weight ratio of just over 400 bhp/ton, the figure for which it was named, and a 0 - 60 mph (97 km/h) of 3.5 seconds. Top speed is 185 mph (298 km/h).

  It was a great day was had by every one.

• Cypress Bowl- I don't care where you are anytime you see 6 cobras it's pretty exciting. Here the cobras start to draw a crowd in the Cypress Bowl parking lot.

  After a couple hours in the hot sun it was nice to find some shade.

• North Vancouver Cobra Cruise-

  On July 20th, a group of six Shelby Cobra kit cars headed out for a four hour cruise. We started in North Vancouver and headed up the Upper Levels Highway towards Cypress Bowl.

  In this outing, which was scheduled to end with a barbecue, all of the cars we're created using the Factory Five Racing kit. The cars performed flawlessly and a good time was had by all.
