Kit cars in a classroom? If you’re talking about the Mott Community College in Howell, Michigan, you bet! In an innovative partnership with Factory Five Racing, this progressive community college boasts a Technical Education Center that teaches car aficionados how to build their dream car.
Over the course of various three-day seminars, kit car enthusiasts traveling from across the U.S. as well as other countries to take part in these classes have the opportunity to build a Factory Five component car from the ground up. For example, on September 28-30, 2007, an amazingly diversified class took a bare-bones basic MK3 Roadster kit and turned it into a finished muscle-bound beauty with a 5.0 liter engine.
