As every aspect of automobile transportation enters into seismic shift mode, lines of demarcation between vehicle types have already blurred irreversibly - is it a car, truck, station wagon, a van? And these evolving forms beg new questions of functionality - what can you use it for? Is it fuel efficient? Is it fun? Within this beehive of a conundrum, one of the most intriguing trends tracking is the morphing of motorcycle into car, which in itself may become a solid answer to many of the above functionality questions.

Campagna Motors of Quebec is a young Canadian company grabbing firmly on to the cutting edge concept of a car-motorcycle crossover: the V13R, three wheels of hot rod styling and fun!

The V13R look is retro and futuristic at the same time, and it will turn some heads! Coming at you, the tubular chassis boasts a gleaming laminated fiberglass hood with chrome grille and inset headlights, speaking high-style street rod. There's safety-belt seating for two adults in the ergonomically designed cockpit, cradled by chrome roll bars and enhanced with glove box, grab handle and other interior features. The car-like feel is augmented by a standard steering wheel and column complete with flashers, high-low beams and hazard lights, as well as the standard car control instrument cluster. Fiberglass side panels swoop up and over the exposed polished chrome twin engines.

Twin Engines Are Road Art

As in all high-end cycles, the Harley-Davidson Liquid-cooled Revolution 60° V-Twin engines are pieces of road art in themselves. The V13R is available in 3 colors with assorted trim. All colors (Inferno Red, Brillant Black & Bright Silver) are available standard with black powder coated or optional chromed roll bars, sub frame, swingarm and A-arm assemblies. Underhood cargo space is built in, but should more luggage be needed for a weekend getaway, optional waterproof and secure side cases are available.

The V13R was designed with driving ease, safety-- and fun foremost in mind. All wheels feature cross-drilled rotors, offering maximum braking power under any road conditions. The V13R suspension has been selected to match cornering capabilities allowed by the chassis geometry; front shocks are coiled over progressive springs and are adjustable in both compression preload and rebound damping. The rear suspension setup is fully customizable, offering maximum flexibility while allowing a sporty ride.

With a savvy V13R customer base already expanding in North America and demand already gathering from every continent, Campagna has partnered with upscale luxury auto and cycle dealerships for sales and service. The V13R is currently available at dealerships in Quebec and nine US states, and will be rolled out to more US dealerships and the rest of the world in 2009. An affordable price in the low $40K range means we should be seeing more and more of these hot little numbers out and about in the coming months.
