Factory Five Racing is a privately-owned kit car manufacturer founded by brothers Mark and David Smith in 1995.

Factory Five component car kits are manufactured in the heart of New England.  According to Jason Lavigne, R&D Engineer with Factory Five Racing, their component car kits are sold FOB from Wareham, Massachusetts, with customers contracting their own delivery carriers.  Unless there is a trade restriction, Factory Five also sells to any overseas country.

Occupying a 62,000 square foot manufacturing facility, Factory Five Racing currently produces four component car kits:  The Mark III Roadster inspired by the Shelby Cobra, the GTM Supercar based on the Ferrari, and the Type 65 Coupe inspired by the 1965 Daytona Coupe.  Factory Five also offers the Challenge Model, a professional racing version of their Mark III Roadster.

Mark Smith is co-owner and founder of Factory Five Racing.  He has worked as a Research and Development engineer and polymer chemist, and is credited with more than 25 U.S. and international patents.

Mark has restored everything from 1950 MGs and Jags to muscle cars of the ‘70s.  Recently, he started the process of restoring a 1972 Norton Dunstall Commando.

David Smith, co-owner of Factory Five and Mark’s brother, is an expert in ISO-9000 good manufacturing practices.  He has also functioned as the Company's Director of Quality Assurance and Director of Operations.

David is a licensed road racer whose daily ride is a black Porsche 911.
