Racing with the Retoga: For the Serious Track Racer

Tagged:  •    •    •

With many cars today adapting racing design and technology and with all the effort to bring the spirit of racing to road cars, a lot of present day drivers are given a taste of what it is like to feel the joy of cruising in speed. Images of modified Nissans and Toyota’s fill our minds when we think of racing, thanks to movies like Gone in Sixty Second and The Fast and the Furious. For any serious racer who has experienced the tracks, however, nothing can beat driving in the tracks in a vehicle especially designed for it. These groups of drivers cannot deny that the road set-up still takes away from the driving experience that track driving on a race car offers.

This is perhaps why dream cars like Kellforms’ Retoga exist; to differentiate the driver from the serious race car performer. Built for enthusiasts and motor racing aficionados, this two-seater mini Le Mans offers the thrill of driving that no regular road car can offer.

A wedding deserves to be no less than picture-perfect.  That includes having the perfect, most romantic-looking wedding car.  If you dream of riding a classic luxurious vehicle to your place of newly-married bliss, then the Ryecroft Tourer is ideal for you.

Being a replica of the 1931 Ford Phaeton, this convertible has the glamorous vintage look.  The vehicle maintains its romantic and luxurious feel and successfully merges it with modern day engineering, evoking a sense of tradition and heritage without compromising performance.  With its new Ford Zetec Engine, the Ryecroft is handcrafted to meet precise customer specifications.  It comes in different color schemes, which include the timeless ivory.  When adorned with ribbons, it becomes the most breathtaking wedding car.

Zeroing on the BlackJack Zero: A 3- Wheeler Like No Other

Tagged:  •

Having just watched the Dark Knight movie, I cannot help but imagine how cool it would be to don the famous cape and mask and go gliding from building to building at night.  Of course, if someone would indulge himself into such an experiment, he would hastily be branded as loony or crazy.

Indeed, the fantastic becomes ridiculous once it comes out of the silver screen to real life.  The latest movie by renowned director Chris Nolan, however, sticks loyally to keeping everything within the bounds of reality.  From removing super powers from villains and making Gotham more like our present day New York, they have made the masked crusader an arm’s length nearer to reality.

Of the coolest things in the new franchise is how the bat mobile as well as the bat cycle has been made to fit a vehicle that could be reproduced in the future.  I would say that off all of Bruce Wayne’s vehicles this last installment, his cycle is one of the most memorable.  I say it is reminiscent of the motorcycle design seen in the Final Fantasy movie: Advent Children, though I am pretty sure designers of the franchise wouldn’t even dare touch the topic with a ten foot pole.

Enter the BlackJack Zero trike from Britain.  The first time I saw this 3-wheeler, I was in complete awe.

Doing the Impossible: Giving the Shelby Cobra Its New "Bite"

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

When one talks about dream cars, AC’s Shelby Cobra almost always finds a spot in every car enthusiast’s list.  Since it was first manufactured in the early sixties, the cobra has become an icon amongst performance cars. Its unique design and the power and speed it posses has easily made it a symbol of power and class.  It is not surprising then that this car along with its signature dual stripes has long been a favorite of collectors everywhere.  Even Hollywood has shown an affinity to the Cobra, featuring it in movies like Bad Boys, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Austin Powers and the recent box office Iron Man.  Movie directors have used the classic to somehow subliminally exude aggressiveness, masculinity and strength in the characters they create in the big screen.

The Shelby Cobra was pretty much a dream car even on its inception.
