While surfing the Web, I came across the news of a brand new car that is so hot and so incredibly beautiful that I fell in love on the spot. The name of my new amore is the Galmer Arbitrage GT, and it’s drop-dead gorgeous.
Manufactured in Thailand, the Galmer Arbitrage GT features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis. Additionally, the majority of its body is carbon fiber, making it an incredibly lightweight car.
The designers of the Galmer Arbitrage GT took a “back to basics” approach, and as far as looks and functionality go, it definitely works. This GT is sleek, aerodynamic and its cockpit is roomy enough to comfortably seat a basketball player.
One feature I really like about the design of this car is the gull-wing doors, reminiscent of the DeLorean DMC-12.
As far as speed, this beauty is built for it. And I have no doubt that we’ll soon be seeing it on racetracks around the world. But, for all its speed-driven power, the Galmer Arbitrage GT is also touted as a great “cruising around town” car.
Now for the really exciting breaking news. This GT will be also available from its manufacturer, Cobra International Co., Ltd., as a component car. It is being marketed as a kit car that can be completely assembled from the ground up in less than 100 man hours.
The kit is delivered as a complete kit, sans engine and transmission. Cobra International plans to soon post a listing of preferred suppliers for these two crucial elements on their website (www.arbitragecars.com). All of the parts used to build this kit car are completely new, and no donor car is required. In fact, each part is numbered according to its specific location and purpose. The wiring harness even comes pre-installed.
This car arrives completely painted, with purchasers of the Galmer Arbitrage GT kit car selecting the desired paint color.
No word yet on when this beautiful beast might be available but, hopefully, it will be soon.
