It was powered by a small V12 engine developed from Ford's Flathead V8 unrelated to the previous Lincoln V12 engines. The 1939 Lincoln Zephyr coupe was 267 cubic inches of pure power and it features some of the first hydraulic lifters. Even the engine was impressive in that day and had 110 hp giving the car a top speed of 90 miles per hour.
